Making healthy food, burrito bowl recipe

Easy Recipe To Start Eating Healthy

A natural progression once you start an exercise program is to start taking better care of yourself overall and this includes a healthier diet. I know for myself I enjoy eating healthy and ensuring that I have enough nutrients to get me through my Pilates teaching schedule.

I am no stranger to trying different types of diets (ie. gluten-free, keto, paleo) but ultimately I think the best diet is not a one-size-fits-all. I think it is important to remember that we all have different bodies that will all react differently to different types of foods. I think the best way to find foods that agree with you is to pay attention to your body after you eat. Ask yourself if you are feeling bloated, tired, achy joints, headachy? I like to use MyFitnessPal to track my foods and keep notes of how I feel if I notice a negative symptom pop up. I once heard the quote “Give your money to the grocer, not the pharmacist”. Choose healthy foods when you grocery shop and your body will reward you.

Lately, we have been trying to eat a little less meat in our household. I like the challenge of finding new recipes that are healthy and taste good.

The one I am sharing below is a weekly meal we all enjoy in our household and when I say all, I am referring to my husband and 2 picky kids.
